Training Program “Awakening skills for the Board of Directors of Clubs – Teams – Groups” of School of Advanced Study

On March 23, 2023, recognizing the strengths and quality of the student working environment of the Faculty of Special Education, the Faculty’s leadership organized the program “Awakening the skills of the Board of Directors of the Club – Team – Team ” in order to deploy the orientation to the Board of Directors of the Clubs – Teams – Groups under the School of Advanced Study, Open University of Ho Chi Minh City. Ho Chi Minh, campus 97 Vo Van Tan.
The program was attended by the leadership of the faculty of Dr. Van Thi Hong Loan – Dean of the School of Advanced Study, together with a team of expert advisors who are teachers, lecturers, and students on the board of directors, human resources at Club – Team – Group.
“Qualifying the Advanced program cannot be complete without the role of the Club – Team – Group, which helps students of the School of Advanced Study to equip practical soft skills in addition to highly theoretical subjects. In other words, Club – Team – Group is the tradition of the School of Advanced Study, which is organized by students in organizing events, competitions, and extracurricular programs, and is a realistic simulation playground for students.”– Dr. Van Thi Hong Loan spoke.

With this event organized to provide and share about promoting strengths and improving some weak points. Accordingly, School wants to listen to the expressions, opinions, and views from the Club – Team – Team to understand and provide solutions, and this is also an opportunity for personnel from the Club – Team. The group has the opportunity to learn and exchange experiences with each other.
Referring to one of the advantages for students participating in Club – Team – Group is “hands-on experience”, Dr. Van Thi Hong Loan shared: “Like cooking rice, I will teach you how to cook, but you have to do the cooking action yourself. Therefore, all programs will be guided by mentors, but the program will be created from their own unique ideas, from the way they organize team activities to complete a program. submit.”
The training session focused on providing an overview, and enabling the students to discuss related content and improve the skills that are important to building and developing an effective team; including leadership skills, human resource management, communication, operating the program on paper (planning the year plan, how to prepare a variety of documents, record keeping, evaluation reports) ,…) and time management.
After listening to the expressions, wishing to cultivate and learn more from the Clubs – Teams – Groups, the School is expected to conduct regular internal training to contribute to improving the quality human resources – awaken the potential of young leaders in the future.
